In a world where flexible schedules are the norm, busy professionals expect office design that delivers luxury, comfort and functionality when they venture away from home.
Architecture Magazine invited our COO Emily Smith, and Damion Burrows, Founder of architects DMBA, to articulate how we have achieved that balance across our collection of prime London heritage office buildings.
For us, the challenge is to create interiors that honour the history and legacy of our unique portfolio, while optimising energy efficiency and imbuing each building with the signature Argyll feel.
Achieving these aims takes careful thought and creativity. At Cornhill, for example, we selected fabrics and colours that draw on the historic palette of the Grade II listed building, along with furnishings to counterbalance its imposing marble columns. Barista-style coffee services reinforce the sense of the office as a hospitality hub, and a place of calm productivity.
Every building in our portfolio is designed to support a consistent narrative: our offer of elegance and comfort in a contemporary workplace. With touches such as our signature scent, Argyll No 3, we create a sense of cohesion across our exceptional spaces.
