London’s premium serviced office provider, Argyll, has completed a refurbishment of its Gresham Street site to meet the evolving demands of modern workers
London, 3rd March 2025: Argyll has unveiled a new look to its office at 85 Gresham Street following a significant refurbishment project that has seen the City office redesigned and upgraded.
The newly designed space continues Argyll’s legacy of providing premium serviced offices, which cater to the needs of the modern workforce. With a unanimous return to the office and a predicted 83% of CEOs expecting a full return within the next three years, upgrading existing office stock in line with evolving customer needs is central to Argyll’s mission.
Responding to customer demand, Argyll’s Gresham Street redesign ensures ample space for meetings and collaboration. New breakout spaces, different types of seating and the installation of video call booths cater to different working styles. Upgrades to kitchen amenities and designated spaces for catch ups, coffees and working lunches offer space to commune with colleagues and clients alike.
Sustainability remains at the heart of Argyll’s approach. Around 30% of the furniture for the redesign was reused from the Argyll estate and refurbished to reduce wastage. The design team also used loose lay flooring, which reduces waste by increasing the lifespan of the floor material as each tile can be lifted and replaced. Lighting upgrades were also deployed to improve efficiency and create a warmer, layered lighting scheme.
Across the Argyll portfolio, recurring design motifs are adopted to create a sense of design cohesion and unity. For Gresham Street, wooden panels surround the lounge area to create a welcoming and relaxed space, and the design approach takes notes from the hospitality playbook with low seating and a refined but welcoming reception desk and lobby area. Earthy accents of burgundy and green accompanied by light wood detailing and clean lines create a calmly productive atmosphere.
John Drover, CEO at Argyll, commented: “It’s been fantastic to reveal the redesign and refurbishment of 85 Gresham Street to our customer base in the heart of London’s banking district.
The brief is clear: our modern workforce needs calm, productive office space with high-end amenities. 85 Gresham Street delivers exactly that and we’ve already received glowing feedback from clients.”
