At Argyll, we’re committed to supporting initiatives that benefit our community. Recently, members of our team had the privilege of visiting St. Martin’s House, The Connection’s women-only accommodation. This incredible facility provides a safe, supportive environment for women experiencing homelessness, addressing their unique needs and vulnerabilities in ways that traditional supported accommodation often cannot.
As part of our Fresh Start Fundraiser, our team, along with our generous customers, donated and delivered essential items like comfortable pyjamas, clothing, cosmetics, books, and bed linen. These thoughtful contributions ensure women arriving at St. Martin’s House with few belongings feel welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive.
During the visit, our team was deeply impressed by the 15-bed accommodation. Each resident has a bright, airy room they can make their own. The house also features a garden, as well as access to a variety of activities that promote wellbeing and creativity, such as yoga, crafting, and Christmas wreath-making.
Our team discovered that St. Martin’s House thrives through the power of community support, with local retailers contributing unsold food to create a strong sense of care and compassion.
